As a result of planned upgrades to the Verizon network in Putnam County near Kent Lakes, Verizon customers in the Kent area may experience service interruptions in the next week, the Town of Kent Police Department announced on Thursday, March 7.
According to an alert from Verizon, in some cases, the work may last as long as two weeks.
However, in case of an emergency, residents can still dial 911, as these calls will work over any cellular network, according to police. Customers can also use Wifi calling in some cases as well.
